Hybrid cables incorporate fiber optic and electrical conductors in one jacket. High data rates can be achieved via optical fibers; which are immune to both EMI effects and electrical power by products. Conductor sizes, various electrical conductor types (RF, STP, UTP) along with various fibers can all be configured together in one run in
order to obtain maximum efficiency and limit weight and minimum space. The installation of two or more cables is thus avoided. The design and application of these types of assemblies are customer driven.
