STRAN Technologies, offers a cylindrical heavy duty series of hermaphroditic connectors for field deployable applications. This rugged connector provides easy field maintenance and unsurpassed optical performance while permitting the cable connectors to link with identical connectors regardless of connector gender. These connectors utilize the same termini (COTS 29504/14 & /15) as the MIL-C-28876 type connectors. These connectors are designed to be mated >1000 cycles with optical degradation less than 0.5db. Typical losses are approximately 0.5bd for standard multimode and can be reduced to 0.35db max for some applications.
